The Government Pension Fund Global returned 4.0 percent, or 240 billion kroner, in the third quarter of 2016.

Equity investments returned 6.0 percent, while fixed-income investments returned 0.9 percent. Investments in real estate returned 2.3 percent. The return on equity and fixed-income investments was 0.2 percentage point higher than the return on the benchmark indices.
